about
Lauren is a Dora nominated actor, writer and theatre educator. She is a graduate of the joint Theatre and Drama Studies Program at the University of Toronto and Sheridan College, where she received an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, graduating with High Distinction, and professional training from Sheridan with a Diploma in Acting (High Honours). In her performance as the tough, hard-hitting paramedic "Anna" in Rosamund Small's Vitals, Lauren was nominated for Best Solo Performance of 2019 by My Entertainment World. Following this production, Lauren transitioned into the infamous role of "Josie Pye" in the Guild Festival Theatre's production of Anne: the quick-witted, brazen and bossy young girl who stops at nothing to win over the town's heartthrob, Gilbert. Most recently, Lauren received a Dora nomination for outstanding performance by an ensemble in the Theatre for Young Audiences Division along with her cast members from Alice in Wonderland. Lauren is proud to be an alumna of the Young Innovators Unit at Nightwood Theatre and the Emerging Artist Roundtable at Theatre Gargantua. She is currently developing her own material as the Artist in Residence at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts.
